Many rumors are circulating that smartphone vendors from Korea (Samsung) is planning to release a smartphone with dual-core based CPUs with a speed of 2 GHz in 2012.
Korean media speculated that Samsung will start selling it 2GHz processor-powered smartphone in 2012.
“We are planning to release a 2Ghz dual core CPU-equipped smartphone by next year,” a high-ranking Samsung official is reportedly quoted as saying. The new processors will be part of Samsung’s processor platform Exynos.
In comparison, smartphone with Samsung’s performance held at this time, Galaxy S II, has a 1.2 Ghz dual core processor. 2GHz processor enables smartphones like the Samsung has the performance of a desktop computer.
However, higher-performance processor which would enable the smartphone to run applications faster. Especially when opening a file or a flash-based sites. But that process will obviously reduce battery power.
