This South Korean company is developing Exynos with artificial intelligence capability. Samsung does not want to be left behind with other manufacturers who have already developed in their smartphone chipsets like, “Apple A11 Bionic neural engine,” “Google Pixel Visual Core“. But Samsung does not do it alone, a Chinese company called DeePhi Tech coupled to make it happen.
Needless to say, Samsung may soon be following suit with a custom neural engine co-processor for its own Exynos brand of chipsets, as it just invested a hefty amount into a Chinese AI company called DeePhi Tech. Founded by Tsinghua and Stanford university graduates, the firm has already bagged plenty of high-profile clients like Amazon, MediaTek, and Samsung itself, for its unique neural network chipset architecture and compression technology.
Not without reason, DeePhi Tech is said to have chipset technology with neural network architecture, which enables the implementation of artificial intelligence in the chip. The technology allows processors to have deepening algorithms for artificial intelligence. Cooperation made by Samsung with DeePhi Tech even referred to have reached the investment stage. This decision was made by Samsung to bring a kind of co-processor that will ditandem with Exynos 9810, which may be implanted in the Galaxy S9.
The use of co-processor in the Galaxy S9 is also not separated from the features that may be carried this phone. Reportedly the Galaxy S8’s successor may also have features like Face ID.
